President Trump is signing executive orders from the Oval Office Friday afternoon.
The ceremony comes a day after House Republicans pushed through their “one big, beautiful” spending package full of Trump’s legislative priorities — which includes steep cuts to energy tax credits, with the exception of nuclear projects. The bill now faces a steep climb in the Senate.
It also comes as the battle between Trump’s administration and Harvard University escalated Thursday after the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) moved to ban the Ivy League school from enrolling international students. Harvard filed a lawsuit on Friday challenging the efforts and a federal judge also temporarily blocked the DHS order.
The event is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. EDT.
