Charlamagne tha God says President Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin’s egos could lead to the “end of civilization as we know it.”
“I’ve been watching those exchanges,” the “Breakfast Club” co-host said Tuesday of the president and Russian leader.
“I just don’t like when I hear [Trump] say, ‘Putin’s crazy. He’s lost it,'” Charlamagne, who was born Lenard McKelvey, said.
“Then the Kremlin, they throw a shot back,” the “Get Honest or Die Lying” author continued.
“That could get stupid real fast,” the 46-year-old media personality said.
In a post on Truth Social on Sunday, Trump described Putin as having “gone absolutely crazy,” accusing him of “needlessly killing a lot of people” in Ukraine.
Trump, who campaigned on a vow to end the war, also criticized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, saying he “is doing his Country no favors by talking the way he does.”
The Kremlin responded on Monday to Trump’s remarks, saying there is “emotional overload” during a “very crucial moment.”
“Those two egos could be the end of civilization as we know it,” Charlamagne said.
“Then they start talking about nuclear [weapons] and this and that. And we don’t need those problems,” journalist Morgyn Wood said on the radio program.
“That’s bigger than a problem,” Charlamagne said with a laugh.
“That would be the end of civilization as we know it,” he repeated.
