List: Where over 70 Big Lots stores are reopening this week
(NEXSTAR) — A fourth wave of Big Lots stores will reopen this week, bringing back nearly 80 locations in nine states that were previously shuttered as part of the retailer’s bankruptcy filing.
These stores, like the more than 100 others that have already reopened this year, are under new management. As part of a deal reached by Gordon Brothers Retail Partners, Variety Wholesalers acquired some former Big Lots stores that are reopening with the original branding.
Initially, nine Big Lots stores reopened in April. Two additional waves in May added dozens of more stores to the Big Lots footprint.
The latest wave of store reopenings, previously confirmed to Nexstar, is set to take place on Thursday, June 5. In total, 78 stores will open in nine states:

With this fourth wave of stores, the Big Lots footprint will reach 220 stores, a fraction of the more than 1,300 locations that were open around this time last year.
The interactive table below shows all of the Big Lots stores that have (or will soon) reopened under Variety Wholesalers.
Several former Big Lots storefronts that are not reopening have found a new life. Other retailers, like Ocean State Job Lot and Ollie’s Bargain Market, have announced plans to take over those locations. Meanwhile, in Denver, a pickleball facility intends to open in a former Big Lots before the end of the year.
