Guns, armor, Nazi paraphernalia found in Washington state raid

Law enforcement officers during a Monday raid discovered a large reserve of weaponry in a Washington state home decked out in Nazi paraphernalia.

”An FBI SWAT team executed the warrant, which resulted in the seizure of short barrel rifles, an MG42 machine gun, grenade launchers, explosives, body armor, ammunition, and ballistic helmets surrounded by Nazi paraphernalia,” Thurston County Sheriff Derek Sanders wrote in a Tuesday statement.

“Multiple rifles were staged at windows throughout the residence,” he added.

Photos taken at the home showed a large red Nazi flag and an array of guns and weapons used by German troops in World War II, according to images reported by the Associated Press

Two suspects were arrested in connection to firearm related offenses. Additional charges could come at the conclusion of a federal investigation, Sanders said.

Bail has been set at $500,000 for each individual in custody.

The FBI and United States Attorney Office for the Western District for Washington did not immediately respond to The Hill’s request for comment.
