NEWSNATION TO LAUNCH “BATYA,” HOSTED BY BATYA UNGAR-SARGON, ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 20

Weekend Edition of “NewsNation Prime,” Anchored by Natasha Zouves, Extended to 11 p.m. ET

CHICAGO, IL (August 26, 2025) – NewsNation, America’s fastest-growing cable news network in total day viewership, today announced that it will launch a new weekend show hosted by author and journalist Batya Ungar-Sargon on Saturday, September 20. The one-hour program, “Batya,” will air Saturdays at 4 p.m. ET and feature a review of the week’s top stories interspersed with commentary and analysis. An encore presentation of the show will air Saturdays at 11 p.m. ET. Ms. Ungar-Sargon will also contribute commentary and analysis across NewsNation’s daytime and primetime programming.

With the afternoon addition of “Batya,” NewsNation Now with Anna Kooiman will air from 1-4 p.m. ET, while NewsNation Now with Keleigh Beeson will air from 5-8 p.m. ET and NewsNation Prime, anchored by Natasha Zouves, will be extended by one hour, and air Saturdays and Sundays from 8 -11 p.m. ET.

The new weekend show will feature a panel of guests, including prominent politicians, media personalities, and people in the news, who will debate a range of hot-button political and social issues. Ms. Ungar-Sargon will also examine the week’s most newsworthy topics while offering her own sharp analysis and fiercely independent political viewpoint.

Currently, Ms. Ungar-Sargon serves as a columnist for The Free Press. She is also the author of three books, Bad News: How Woke Media Is Undermining DemocracySecond Class: How the Elites Betrayed America’s Working Men and Women, and the forthcoming The Left and the Jews.

Prior to joining The Free Press, Ms. Ungar-Sargon was the opinion editor at Newsweek. She appears frequently on major news outlets, including Real Time with Bill MaherThe Megyn Kelly ShowThe Daily WireSky News, and writes regularly for The New York Post, Compact Magazine, among other publications.

Ms. Ungar-Sargon graduated from the University of Chicago with a Bachelor’s degree in English and received a Ph.D. in English from the University of California, Berkeley.
