Governor says president is ‘unapologetically attacking the rule of law’ after judge blocked Oregon national guard deployment
California’s governor, Gavin Newsom, announced on Sunday that he is suing Donald Trump over the alleged deployment of 300 California national guard personnel to Oregon despite a federal judge’s ruling temporarily blocking the move.
“They are on their way there now,” Newsom said in a press statement. “The Trump Administration is unapologetically attacking the rule of law itself and putting into action their dangerous words – ignoring court orders and treating judges, even those appointed by the President himself, as political opponents.”
